DO
- Eat a light breakfast (if this is your usual routine)
- Drink water or bring at least a quart of water
- If prescribed, wear a medic alert bracelet
- Wear comfortable clothing and shoes. Wear a hat.
- Take your regular medications as prescribed by your personal health care provider.
- Bring any “as needed” medications with you to the event (ie, asthma inhaler, Epipen®, insulin, pain or allergy medication)
- Carry a 3×5 card with your name, emergency contacts, important medical conditions, & medications at all times. Please provide this card to the bus monitor that you travelled with for review (optional)
DON’T
- Fast from food and water
- Drink alcoholic beverages or be under the influence of any illegal drug substance. While marijuana may be legal in your jurisdiction, it is recommended that you not be under the influence of this substance either.
- Skip any prescribed medication doses
- Neglect any medical advice given to you by your private physician
- Come at all if you have symptoms of a contagious illness (diarrhea, vomiting, fever)
- Bring any weapons or firearms to the demonstration
The following is a list of suggested items for every demonstrator to bring with them:
MMM Justice or Else Backpack:
- Cell phone & portable charger
- Rain gear (poncho, rain boots)
- Hat
- Comfortable footwear (sturdy shoes or insulated boots)
- Prescription medications
- Small first aid kit
- Small hand towel
- Sunglasses
- Small writing pen & pad
- ID cards (including insurance card)
- Food items
- Rasins, dry fruit
- Water
- Granola or energy bars
- Crackers
- Sardines
- Chocolate
- Fruit (apples, oranges)
- Sunflower seeds
- Hand wipes/sanitizer
- Skin moisturizer
- Small change
- Portable radio
- Folding camp chair
